IVO Appoints Mike Buiter as Chief Financial Officer

Mike Buiter brings more than 40 years of financial leadership experience to the IVO team and officially serves as Chief Financial Officer. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bob Jones University in 1977 and later completed his MBA at Duke University in 1999.

Extensive Financial & Corporate Leadership Experience

Throughout his career, Mr. Buiter has held senior financial roles across auditing, treasury, and executive finance. His experience includes serving as a Senior Auditor at Price Waterhouse Coopers, followed by roles as Internal Audit Manager, Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer, and Vice President of Finance at Dr Pepper.

During his tenure at Dr Pepper, he led a leveraged buyout of company operations from shareholders and played a key role in leveraging the acquisitions of The Seven-Up Company and IBC Root Beer—demonstrating deep expertise in corporate finance, acquisitions, and strategic growth.

Leadership Endorsement

“Mike’s experience and expertise in and beyond finance is something we are extremely fortunate to have. He is what I refer to as a ‘day one’—you would never know he just joined the team. He integrates seamlessly and is already a major asset to IVO,” said Dan Telehey, Chief Operating Officer of IVO.

Academic & Community Leadership

In addition to his role at IVO, Mr. Buiter currently serves as Dean of the School of Business at Bob Jones University, where he oversees approximately 450 students and faculty. He also chairs the Greenville Area Development Corporation and serves as Finance Chair for the Wilds Christian Camp in North Carolina.
