Mike Buiter brings over 40 years of financial experience to the IVO team and will serve officially as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Buiter graduated from Bob Jones University in 1977 obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in finance. He continued his education in 1999 at Duke University where he obtained his MBA.
With his education he also brings a mountain of experience. Mr. Buiter served as a Senior Auditor for Price Waterhouse Coopers, and as Internal Audit Manager, Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer and Vice President of Finance for Dr Pepper. During his time at Dr Pepper, he initiated a leveraged buy-out of Dr Pepper operations from company stockholders as well as leveraged the acquisition of The Seven-Up Company and IBC Root Beer.
“Mike’s experience and expertise in and beyond finance is something we are extremely blessed to have. He is what I refer to as a “day one” because you wouldn’t know that he just joined the team. He meshes so well with everyone and is already a major asset to our team,” said Dan Telehey, Chief Operating Officer of IVO.
Mr. Buiter serves currently as the Dean at the School of Business at Bob Jones University where he tends to 450 students and faculty. He also Chair’s the Greenville Area Development Corporation and serves as the Finance Chair for the Wilds Christian Camp in North Carolina.
